Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations within our dental practice. This role requires a blend of administrative skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and familiarity with electronic medical records systems.

Duties

Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations.
Schedule and confirm appointments while maintaining an organized calendar.
Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
Collect patient information and maintain accurate electronic medical records.
Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage.
Utilize office software, including Dentrix and Epic, to manage patient files and billing.
Answer phone calls using multi-line phone systems, addressing concerns or directing calls as necessary.
Ensure the front office area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.

Experience

Previous experience in a dental office or medical office setting is preferred.
Proficiency in administrative tasks, including scheduling and managing office supplies.
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems; experience with Dentrix or Epic is a plus.
Understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental practices.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
