Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our dental office. This role requires proficiency in administrative tasks, knowledge of medical terminology, and experience with dental office software such as Dentrix. The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and a welcoming environment for our patients.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems.
Verify patient insurance information and process necessary documentation.
Coordinate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and communication.
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
Assist in managing the daily schedule to optimize appointment availability.
Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office is preferred.
Strong administrative skills with proficiency in phone systems and office procedures.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
A positive attitude and professional demeanor are essential for interacting with patients and team members.
