Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team, here at North York Periodontal Centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while performing a variety of clinical tasks to support the overall health and well-being of our patients.

Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
Perform periodontal dental cleanings, scaling, root planing, and initial therapy while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience with EMR systems and dental software Tracker is preferred.
Strong understanding of anatomy related to oral health and pediatrics is a plus.
Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
