Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and familiarity with dental office operations. Prior experience with electronic medical records and dental software is highly preferred. The Dental Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Dentrix or similar dental software
Manage multi-line phone systems to handle patient inquiries and appointment requests
Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
Collect payments, process billing, and assist with insurance claims processing
Maintain organized front desk operations, including filing and data entry
Assist with administrative tasks such as faxing, scanning, and correspondence
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Support the team with general office duties to ensure efficient practice flow

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental/medical office setting is highly preferred
Proficiency with dental management software such as CLEARDENT is a plus
Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) and office management systems
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Office experience including front desk responsibilities and administrative support
Knowledge of insurance verification processes and billing procedures
Professional appearance, friendly demeanor, and exceptional organizational skills
