About
I am a dental hygiene practitioner with 19 years of experience spanning practices coast to coast, mobile not for profit community initiatives and international volunteering. My background also includes dental assisting skills, restorative and oral surgery, which aided my role as a restorative clinic facilitator on the Alex Dental Health Bus (Calgary, AB). Throughout my career I have successfully assisted in building new and existing practices by implementing comprehensive periodontal programs. Pre-pandemic, I created and delivered a mobile not for profit dental program in South Surrey, funded by the Peace Arch Hospital, serving marginalized and vulnerable populations.
Effective working independently or collaboratively in an array of environments, I am competent in assessing and providing comprehensive therapy for a diverse client base; immunocompromised, special needs, varying socioeconomic status, terminally ill, all age groups and various cultures. My approach emphasizes continuity and thoroughness through diligent record keeping, tailored treatment planning, interprofessional collaboration, consistent follow up and an affinity for client education. My strong clinical and interpersonal skills strengthen practices, building meaningful connections with both clients and colleagues.
Currently I am seeking part time permanent employment (2-3 days) in a positive, team environment that prioritizes quality client-centered care and best practices. Looking forward to connecting.
