Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled compassionate, caring and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our team for Monday and Tuesday. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices. Responsibilities:
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and debridement
- Take digital dental x-rays
- Conduct oral cancer screenings
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment
Qualifications:
- Valid dental hygiene license
- Experience working in a dental office preferred
- Proficiency in dental hygiene techniques and procedures
- Proficiency in using Abeldent or similar dental software
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
