Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Certified Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will provide support to the dental team and ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the dental office. Your role will involve assisting with patient care, performing administrative tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking X-rays, preparing instruments, and providing chairside assistance
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Take and record patient medical histories
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Assist with orthodontic procedures, including fitting bands, brackets, and wires
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a certified dental assistant program required
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
