The doctor is willing to train the right candidate in everything that a dental hygienist should know to treat patients in orthodontics. You must be willing to learn both within the clinic and outside the clinic to understand essential orthodontic concepts. You must also be willing to take constructive criticism and be up to the challenge of working in orthodontics.

As a trainee, you will learn our orthodontic operations starting from assisting all the way to full on hygiene work. The starting wage is $35 per hour and progressively increase as you meet goals based on our review checklist.

This is a part-time position (3 days per week) leading to more days as we grow.

The right candidate must have an upbeat personality, must have a positive attitude and be able to work independently and within a team. Time management and initiative is key as there will be minimal supervision once you are fully trained. You must also love a challenge as well as working in a busy environment which is always evolving and changing.

We are a close knit, hard working team that is looking for an individual that will fit well within our team. This means that you are willing to go above and beyond for our patients and team members. Staying past close time to help everyone clean the office or staying until the last patient is finished are just a couple of examples. Communication and care of our patients is our top priority. You must be able to make the patient feel comfortable and build relationships with them while you are performing your work. This takes skill as you have to multitask while working on patients.

Duties will include:

Assessment of oral health
Bonding brackets
Changing of archwires
Placement of Invisalign attachments
Removal of brackets
Understanding and working with phase I appliances
Oral hygiene instructions
Participation in marketing events

Required Hours:

Mondays and Thursdays 8:00AM - 5:00PM
Tuesdays 11:00AM - 7:00PM
Days allocated to staff meetings
Days allocated to marketing events
Additional days as necessary
