Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with pediatric dentistry and familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is highly desirable.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth using appropriate techniques.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
- Assist in chairside procedures, providing support to the dentist during treatments.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images as required.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and work areas following aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized patient care plans.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and procedures.
Requirements
- Valid dental hygiene license from an accredited program.
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices, anatomy, and infection control protocols.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and medical coding is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively while assisting the dentist.
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $48.00-$52.00 per hour
Expected hours: 7 – 10 per week
