Overview
We are seeking 2 dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienists to join our dynamic dental team. One candidate will be covering a mat leave. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting with various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and patient assessment techniques. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dentist to ensure optimal patient outcomes and contribute to a positive patient experience in our clinic.
Position 1: Dental Hygienist (continuing)
Availability: Tuesday + Wednesday + Saturday
Position 2: Dental Hygienist (Mat leave March 2026 - March 2027)
Availability: Monday + Wednesday + Thursday + Saturday
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients.
- Conduct patient assessments to identify oral health issues and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care measures.
- Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols within the dental office.
- Collaborate with the dental team to review documentation and ensure proper medical coding for services rendered.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
- 2-3 years experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Abeldent is a plus.
- Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and infection control standards.
- Ability to perform documentation review accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
