Our NW Calgary office is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, taking x-rays and educating patients on proper oral hygiene. We are hiring for a full time role, weekend availability is required.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth
- Conduct oral examinations and screenings to assess patients' oral health
- Administer local anesthesia ( if qualified) and apply fluoride treatments, as necessary
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide personalized dental care instructions
- Take X-rays for diagnostic purposes
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as required
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver outstanding patient care and achieve practice goals
Qualifications:
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in Alberta
- Completion of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Proficient in performing dental cleanings, oral examinations, and X-rays
- Strong knowledge of oral health and dental hygiene best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with Cleardent is a plus.
- At least 1 year experience required.
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
