Position Summary:
The Dental Treatment Coordinator plays a key role in managing patient communications, coordinating treatment plans, and supporting both patients and clinical teams to provide an exceptional experience. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for patients regarding treatment plans, insurance coverage, and financing options
- Present and explain treatment options and associated costs in a clear and compassionate manner
- Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and other team members to ensure seamless coordination of patient care
- Schedule appointments and manage treatment timelines to optimize patient satisfaction and clinic efficiency
- Verify patient insurance coverage, process claims, and provide accurate cost estimates
- Assist with financial arrangements, including explaining financing options
- Follow up with patients regarding treatment acceptance, next steps, and post-treatment care
- Maintain patient records and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in dental or medical treatment coordination, sales, or patient care
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Dentrix
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism
- Detail-oriented and organized, with excellent time-management skills
