Hello Dental Hygienists! Donison Dental is in search of a part-time RDH to hire for a maturnity leave. The expected duration is 12 to 18 months. The hours would be Monday, 8:00 to 4:00; Friday 8:00 to 2:30, and one Saturday per month working 9:00 to 3:00. We are a fun and relaxed office who focus on exceptional dental care and building relationships with our long term patients. We are looking for someone who enjoys working as a dental hygienist with a focus on patient care. Candidate MUST be a fully licenced RDH within Alberta. We use Dentrix software and PSP x-rays. Responsibilities
- Remove plaque and calculus and stains from teeth using hand and ultrasonic scaling instruments.
- Provide deep scaling and root planing
- Examine the mouth, gums and teeth for early signs of decay, oral cancer, or periodontal disease and report findings to the dentist.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene.
- Update medical histories.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to ensure a safe environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of relevant medical terminology.
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and streamline office operations.
- Administering local anesthesia is a plus but not necessary.
Pay: $65.00-$70.00 per hour
