Dr. Pat Duronio Dentistry is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong commitment to patient comfort and safety, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Take digital radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Provide excellent patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns during visits.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to safety protocols.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Taking impressions, polishing, application of fluoride.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures.
- Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
