We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic and patient-focused dental team in Calgary. About the Role
As part of our collaborative clinical team, the Dental Hygienist will provide preventive dental services, educate patients on oral health, and support comprehensive treatment plans. This position is ideal for someone who values teamwork, patient relationships, and excellence in dental hygiene care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal assessments for patients of all ages.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care tailored to their individual needs.
- Take and process dental radiographs as required.
- Accurately record patient assessments, treatment plans, and clinical notes using the dental software (experience with Cleardent is an asset).
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment while following infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Manage patient records in compliance with privacy regulations and medical terminology standards.
- Deliver outstanding patient care to ensure a positive and comfortable patient experience.
- Collaborate with the team to support coordinated patient care.
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the Province of Alberta.
- Previous experience in a dental practice is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene principles and related medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Proficiency in digital charting and radiography systems (Cleardent experience preferred).
