Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall patient experience. This role requires a professional with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient care. Prior experience with dental software such as Cleardent and knowledge of orthodontics is highly valued.
The ideal candidate is organized, punctual, and able to manage their schedule effectively to ensure optimal patient flow and a positive experience for both patients and team members.
Responsibilities
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Assist in diagnosing oral health issues through visual examination and patient history review
- Support the dental team during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Maintain accurate patient records using Cleardent
- Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally
- Collaborate with dentists and CDA's to ensure smooth clinic operations
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in British Columbia
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55.00-$60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
