Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental care.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Assist in the identification of periodontal disease and other oral health issues.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Tracker dental software.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient experience, particularly with pediatric patients.
Requirements
- Valid BC license as a Dental Hygienist preferred, new grads or soon to be new grads welcome to apply.
- Experience in dental assisting or familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
- Knowledge of orthodontics is a plus.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse patient base.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred, especially with pediatric patients.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
