Job Summary
True North Family Dental Care is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional patient care and education, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.
This position is part time, 8am to 4:30pm.
While this position is currently a part time position, for the right candidate this could transition into a full time position as we are quickly growing.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take dental radiographs as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Assist the dentist during examinations
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental management software
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed
- Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent patient service
Qualifications
- Registered Dental Hygienist with BCCOHP
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing environments
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a caring attitude toward patients
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $45.00-$60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
