Job Summary - ROOTED IN CARE - GROUNDED IN WELLNESS
We are looking for a compassionate and wellness-focused Dental Hygienist to join our holistic dental practice. In this role, you will help patients feel truly cared for—beyond their smiles—while providing high-quality hygiene care and contributing to a seamless, positive experience for every person who walks through our door.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive dental hygiene care with attention to patient comfort and overall well-being
- Support patients undergoing restorative and implant-based treatments, helping them understand each step of their long-term care
- Take and process radiographs as needed, with an emphasis on patient education and transparency
- Educate patients on oral hygiene habits, nutrition, and preventive practices that support whole-body health
- Support the dentist during examinations and procedures to ensure smooth, coordinated care
- Maintain clear, accurate patient records using practice software (ORYX), ensuring continuity of care
- Help manage patient flow, scheduling, and follow-up to create a welcoming and organized practice atmosphere
- Maintain impeccable infection control and sterilization standards to protect patient and team health
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to children and families
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience rooted in kindness, communication, and trust
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting is preferred
- Familiarity with ORYX or similar dental management software is highly valued
- Excellent command of the English language with strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear, compassionate, and professional interaction with patients and the team
- Comfort discussing wellness, prevention, and whole-body health concepts with patients
- Experience in dental assisting is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine interest in patient relationships
