Our non corporate family dental clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team to cover a maternity leave position. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings and educating patients on oral hygiene practices.. This position requires excellent communication skills and a passion for patient care. The position starts January 2026 to mid February 2027.
Duties
- Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records using Power Practice dental software.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Stay updated on medical terminology and best practices in dental hygiene.
Qualifications
- Valid provincial license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Familiarity with Power Practice or similar dental office management software is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- Understanding of privacy requirements in Alberta and ability to keep patient information confidential.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $53.00-$66.89 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
