We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our Privately owned dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall patient experience. Duties
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth and removing plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using a Dental practice management software.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Manage patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy .
- Ensure a smooth flow of patient appointments, maintaining a welcoming environment
Skills
- Knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Excellent customer service skills to foster positive patient relationships
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization procedures
