Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while developing your skills in dental assisting, orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology. Prior experience with dental software such as Dentrix is a plus.

Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using CAD technology when applicable
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle administrative tasks related to patient flow
- Support pediatric patients by creating a comfortable environment and communicating effectively about procedures
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and OSHA regulations
- Assist with laboratory procedures related to crowns, bridges, or orthodontic appliances as needed
- Support the front desk team by performing duties typical of a dental receptionist when required
Skills
- Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix is highly desirable
- Experience in pediatric dentistry preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Ability to operate Trios 3 systems for designing dental restorations or appliances
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and sterilization processes
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinical environment
- Certification or training in dental assisting is required or highly preferred
