Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and support the overall health and well-being of our patients. Duties
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and treatment plans
- Assist with patient examinations and record keeping using Dentrix or similar dental software
- Support the dental team with procedures such as applying sealants or fluoride treatments
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns during visits
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure the cleanliness of operatories and equipment
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to deliver comprehensive care
- Manage patient scheduling, follow-up appointments, and documentation efficiently
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist
- Previous experience in a dental office setting
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Dental assisting experience is advantageous but not required
- Ability to work well within a team
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 7 per week
