Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The position is for Mondays and Fridays, for a total of 12 hours per week. Consideration will be given if only one of those days works with applicant's schedule. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, promote oral health, and support our team in delivering a positive dental experience. Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist with patient examinations and record keeping using Dentrix or similar dental management software
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns or questions during visits
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure the cleanliness of treatment areas
- Skills
- Proficiency with Dentrix or other dental office management software
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Previous dental office experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to work well within a team while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
