Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our very well established, modernized dental practice in oak bay . The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, supporting the overall efficiency of the dental office, and ensuring a positive experience for all patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of dental procedures and patient care standards. Compensation is negotiable for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental management software training will be provided.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Offer exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally
- Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice
- Proven experience working in a dental office setting, with knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work well within a team and independently while maintaining professionalism and compassion
- Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization procedures
