Hours
- Monday to Thursday, no evening, no weekend
Duties
- Assist orthodontist during procedures such as bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings with precision and confidence.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning optimally.
- Take dental X-rays and use 3D scanners, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
- Educate patients on orthodontic care, including proper hygiene practices and appliance maintenance, fostering a positive experience.
- Assist with infection control protocols to uphold the highest standards of aseptic technique within the clinic.
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with a dental receptionist mindset and managing medical documentation for accurate recordkeeping.
- Collaborate closely with the referring dentist or specialists teams on procedures and specialized areas like prosthodontics, periodontics or endodontics when needed.
Experience
- Prior experience working in an orthodontic clinic environment is an asset but not essential. New grads are welcome!
- Certification in "orthodontics" dental assisting is also an asset but training is also available for the right candidate!
