We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of dental office procedures and healthcare management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining a smooth patient experience. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily office operations, including scheduling, billing, and patient records management.
- Oversee human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff scheduling.
- Manage electronic medical records systems, including Dentrix and other digital platforms, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, OSHA standards, and privacy laws related to medical records and patient information.
- Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and inventory control to optimize practice efficiency.
- Support patient relations by addressing concerns, ensuring timely appointment scheduling, and maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Collaborate with dental practitioners to streamline clinical workflows and administrative processes.
- Implement policies for infection control, safety protocols, and COVID-19 protective measures within the office environment.
Experience
- Prior experience in a dental office setting is highly preferred; experience in medical or hospital environments is a plus.
- Demonstrated supervisory or managerial experience in healthcare or administrative roles.
- Proficiency with Dentrix or similar electronic medical records software is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practices is required.
- Experience with human resources functions such as staffing, training, and employee relations is desirable.
- Background in budgeting, financial management, or practice administration is advantageous.
- Familiarity with hospital or acute care settings can be beneficial for understanding complex healthcare workflows.
