Job Overview - Part Time Dental Receptionist - Wage based on experience
Seeking an experienced dental receptionist, professional and organized to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage appointment scheduling, and ensure smooth office operations. Help clean and sterilize rooms, trays, pour up impressions, help with small laboratory tasks (Will train on site).
This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental terminology, and experience with electronic medical records systems. The Dental Receptionist will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient service and supporting the clinical team.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately using systems.
- Prepare patient charts and ensure all necessary documentation is complete before appointments
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including collecting payments and scheduling follow-up visits
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, sterilization area, and laboratory area.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence
- Collaborate with dental staff to coordinate patient flow and ensure efficient office operations
Experience
- Must have prior experience.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Previous office experience involving front desk duties, multi-line phone systems, and administrative responsibilities is beneficial
- Demonstrated professionalism, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
