Overview
Established restorative dental practice in beautiful Yorkville seeks a hygienist with exceptional interpersonal skills. Conveniently located near the Bay/Bloor subway. Our practice has a loyal, appreciative clientele. Join our team and contribute to a welcoming and professional environment.
Hours are 9am- 6pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday with a one hour lunch.
Please apply if you can work any or all of the 4 days.
Minimum 3 years experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take digital dental radiographs as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Assist the dentist during examinations
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Ensure a sterile and organized work environment in compliance with infection control protocols
- Support patient comfort and address their concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing
- Prior experience with AbelDent or similar dental software preferred
- Experience in dental assisting or general dental office operations is beneficial
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety
Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
