Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our AFTER HOURS DENTAL CLINIC for TUES and FRIDAYS 5-9PM and SUNDAYS 10-6pm.
The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, is FRIENDLY AND KIND and supports the dental team.
This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, professional environment with a focus on patient education and comfort. The position requires a licensed hygienist with strong communication skills and a passion for helping patients achieve healthy smiles.
Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take dental radiographs and intraoral photos proficiently
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Manage patient appointments, and treatment plans
- Support pediatric patients with gentle care and effective communication
- Ensure the sterilization of dental instruments and maintain a clean treatment environment
- Address patient questions regarding procedures and post-treatment care
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth office operations
Experience
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting preferred, especially with pediatric patients or orthodontics
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse patient populations
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient comfort and education
- Previous experience in dental assisting or related roles is beneficial but not mandatory
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $38.00-$55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
