Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health and comfort. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with dentists and other staff members to deliver exceptional patient experiences in a welcoming environment.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by examining patients’ gums and teeth.
- Document patient treatment plans and progress using Dentrix or other dental software systems.
- Maintain a sterile and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Provide support during orthodontic procedures when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing any concerns or questions they may have regarding their treatment.
- Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- 2 years of experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is beneficial.
- Previous experience in dental assisting can be advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
