The ideal candidate is passionate about building strong patient relationships and contributing to the long-term oral health of the community. As a Dental Assistant at our practice, you will have the opportunity to work closely with and learn from a dedicated team of dental professionals. We are seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our growing office. Our commitment is to support our employees in growing both personally and professionally while being fully supported along the journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Patient Experience Specialist by creating a welcoming, professional, and compassionate environment for all patients.
- Clean, disinfect, and set up dental operatories before and after each patient in accordance with practice protocols.
- Perform sterilization and proper handling of dental instruments, following all infection control and safety guidelines.
- Provide clinical chairside assisting, including knowledge and correct use of dental instruments, materials, and procedures.
- Assist with patient flow, appointment preparation, and coordination to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience.
- Complete administrative tasks as needed to support smooth daily operations.
- Collaborate with the dental team to deliver patient-centered care and promptly address patient questions or concerns.
Qualifications
- Registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with the Ontario Dental Assisting Association.
- Certified Level II Assistant is preferred.
- HARP certification is preferred.
- Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
- Punctual, reliable, and a strong team player with a positive attitude.
