Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The position is for Fridays, starting at 7:45 and finishing at 2:15. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, promote oral health, and support our team in delivering a positive dental experience. Duties
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist with patient examinations and record keeping using Power Practice dental practice management software
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns or questions during visits
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure the cleanliness of treatment areas
- Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Previous dental office experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to work well within a team while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
