Dental Receptionist Requirements:
- Certification in office administration, medical administration, or related fields is advantageous.
- Proven experience working in a dental office is ideal, but not a pre-requisite.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls, schedule, confirm patients and manage correspondence (which includes photocopying, filing, faxing, etc.)
- Warmly greet, onboard and check-out patients in a professional manner
- Maintain a seamless flow by being organized and communicating clearly with patients and Team
- Prepare patients’ charts and input meticulous notes
- Communication and co-ordination with dental insurance providers
- Verify methods of payment and collect payments
- Organize and maintain files and records, formatting when necessary (both physical paper & electronic)
- Manage the front desk area, ensuring it is clean and organized.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Maintain office supplies.
- Follow office procedures and routines in a busy schedule
- Prepare spreadsheets, documents and reports for review
- Work with all Team members and provide support
- Communicate in a timely manner with clinical team
Skills:
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
- exceptional in maintaining a fully booked schedule
- Proficient with MS Office, MS Word and Excel
- Proficient with using phone systems and office equipment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to prioritize effectively
- Knowledge of accounts receivable and collections.
