Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sterilization Assistant to support our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are organized, proactive, and interested in gaining experience in a dental office.
Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with established infection control protocols
- Prepare and organize instrument trays for a variety of dental procedures
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves, ensuring proper function and documentation
- Maintain accurate sterilization records and logs in compliance with regulatory standards
- Set up and turn over treatment rooms between patients, including surface disinfection and restocking supplies
- Ensure operatories are fully stocked and prepared for daily procedures
- Manage and organize inventory of sterilization supplies and clinical materials
- Properly handle and dispose of biohazardous waste
- Maintain a clean, organized sterilization and clinical support area
- Help chart with Dentist and Hygienist
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental
- Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support a team
- Good communication and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
