Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant with Ortho module to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the orthodontist and an Oral Medicine specialist on both our locations in Edmonton and Barrhead. A good compensation is offered for the Barrhead work days.
Experience with Tops Ortho software, as well as familiarity with orthodontics, will be highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where professionalism and compassion are essential.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic treatments and oral medicine
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns during visits
- Support the team with general office duties to ensure efficient clinic operations
Experience
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, especially in orthodontics
- Familiarity with dental assisting procedures, sterilization techniques
This position provides an excellent opportunity for growth within the office to do duties as Treatment Coordinator and ultimately Office manager for individuals with the right skills.
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
