Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a welcoming and efficient dental environment. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct oral health assessments and educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments with professionalism and efficiency
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software system
- Provide guidance on preventive care and recommend appropriate treatments or follow-up appointments
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Skills
- Proficiency using Dentrix
- Experience with a wide range of patients. Our practice is a general dentistry practice, we see paediatric patients through to seniors.
- Our focus is to create a positive patient experience
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly and compassionately
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $58.00-$65.00 per hour
