Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, to start, leading to full time after a few months. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality dental care and will have experience in various aspects of dentistry, including nitrous oxide sedation, endodontics and extraction. As an Associate Dentist, you will work collaboratively with our team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients while maintaining a friendly and professional environment.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages.
Provide high-quality clinical care including exams, fillings, crowns, bridges, endodontics, extractions and preventive treatments
Utilize technology such as scanners for designing dental restorations and prosthetics.
Maintain accurate patient records using ABELDent software.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options and preventive care.
Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to ensure smooth workflow in the office.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental technology and procedures.
Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Experience
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
At least a year's experience in a Canadian Dental Office.
Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
Proficiency in using ABELDent is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and staff alike.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
Work closely with dental hygienists, dental assistants and other team members to provide comprehensive care.
Supervise and mentor junior dental staff, including dental hygienists and assistants.
Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to Ontario’s Public Health Standards and infection control protocols.
Ensure compliance with the Ontario Dental Association guidelines and the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on health and safety regulations, including sterilization techniques, workplace safety and other relevant guidelines.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain patient charts and medical records accurately, ensuring patient confidentiality.
Provide treatment estimates and manage patient insurance claims or billing.
Participate in regular continuing education and professional development to stay current with advancements in the dental field.

Schedule:
Thursdays 7:30 am to 5:00pm
Fridays 7:30 am to 3:00 pm
Saturdays 6:30 am to 2:00 pm
Compensation:
The General Dentist will be compensated at 40% of individual Collections after lab expenses.
