Job Summary
Aulona Dental is seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our friendly team in Edson.
The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and compassion. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and proficiency in dental software systems. The Dental Receptionist will ensure a smooth patient experience while supporting the administrative functions of the practice.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and check them in upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle inquiries
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately using Dentrix and Epic systems
- Collect payments, co-pays, and process billing in accordance with office policies
- Maintain organized patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations to optimize daily patient flow
- Prepare and manage correspondence, including appointment reminders and follow-up communications
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies
- Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate smooth daily operations at the front desk
Experience
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical/medical office setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care enhances communication with patients and staff
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) and office management systems is beneficial
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing schedules and patient information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective front desk interactions
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Previous administrative experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.

- Hourly rate will be dependant on how much experience the candidate has in working in a dental office and with Dentrix.

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
