Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, dental hygiene procedures, and a commitment to promoting oral health. Responsibilities
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix
- Ensure a sterile and organized clinical environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage patient scheduling, follow-up appointments, and answer patient inquiries with excellent customer service skills
- Support pediatric patients and adapt communication techniques for different age groups
- Collaborate with the dental team to improve workflow and patient satisfaction
Skills
- Proficiency in Dentrix
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Experience in dental assisting is a plus, providing flexibility in clinical support roles
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients
- Prior experience working in a dental office setting is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with daily operations and patient care protocols
Pay: Up to $62.00 per hour
