Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be a team player and hold a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about providing high-quality dental care and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. A medical background is an asset and a positive attitude is a must have!

Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment before and after procedures.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software, ensuring all medical terminology is correctly documented.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Stay current with best practices in dental assisting, including CAD technologies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the Dental Field is preferred but not essential. Dental Assistant Training and Continuing Education will be provided.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is highly desirable.
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with patients and team members.
Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications is an asset but not mandatory.
A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving technologies in the dental field.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
