Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with pediatric dentistry and familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix is highly desirable.

Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth using appropriate techniques.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
Assist in chairside procedures, providing support to the dentist during treatments.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images as required.
Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and work areas following aseptic techniques.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop individualized patient care plans.
Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and procedures.

Requirements

Valid dental hygiene license from an accredited program.
Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong knowledge of general dentistry practices, anatomy, and infection control protocols.
Familiarity with EMR systems and medical coding is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively while assisting the dentist.
Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $48.00-$52.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 – 10 per week
