Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice to cover a maternity leave starting May 2026. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall patient experience. Duties

Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures
Maintain accurate patient records using Opes dental management software
Manage patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed in accordance with OSHA standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment

Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygienist license in good standing
Must be fluent in English
Previous experience in dental assisting or working in a dental office setting is highly desirable
Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages
Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care is preferred
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a caring demeanor are essential for success in this role

Pay: $47.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
