Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. We are looking for someone to work every other Saturday 9-4. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, promoting oral health, and assisting in the overall operations of our dental practice. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists and other staff to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care in a friendly and professional environment.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Document patient treatment plans and progress notes using Dentrix software.
- Assist in the management of patient records and maintain confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide support during procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics.
- Ensure that all instruments are sterilized and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance patient experience and satisfaction.
- Ensure patient focus is key priority, providing incredible chair side care
Requirements
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Proficiency in using curve is an asset
- Experience in dental assisting is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Familiarity with orthodontic procedures is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a compassionate approach to patient care.
