We are a Burlington-based dental office focused on a holistic, wellness-based approach to care!
A friendly, people-oriented, established practice is looking for a Licensed Dental Hygienist to work on Wednesdays until 5:00 PM and one Saturday a month until 2:00 PM. The person should be amiable, detail-oriented, confident and have good communication skills in English. The person also needs to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental setting.
Located within new facilities equipped with advanced and modern equipment, we strive to provide empathetic care in a cozy and homelike environment. Our hours do not encompass evenings; other than weekdays, we are open only one Saturday per month. The team is close-knit and welcoming, and we are excited to have you join it!
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system.
- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary tools and materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring comfort during treatments.
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and improve office efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid Dental Hygienist license with CDHO.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; familiarity with Tracker software is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Previous experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
