Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Full-Time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be experienced, gentle, and possess a kind, caring demeanor. A bubbly and upbeat personality is essential, as we prioritize both clinical excellence and creating a welcoming environment for our patients.
Office Hours:
- Monday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- One Saturday per month: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling procedures on patients of all ages, including pediatric patients
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate oral health and identify any potential issues
- Take vital signs and medical histories to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnostics and treatment planning
- Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits
- Collaborate with dentists and other team members to deliver exceptional patient care
- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols within the dental office
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies
Qualifications:
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO)
- 2+ years of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Warm, gentle, and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work well in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Familiarity with dental software Dentrix is an asset
