Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be certified and in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO), with demonstrated expertise in IPAC, WHMIS, RCDSO, and Ontario Health and Safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
· Provide preventative dental hygiene care, including scaling, teeth whitening, root planing, polishing, and fluoride treatments.
· Educate patients on oral health, hygiene practices, and post-treatment care.
· Complete accurate and detailed clinical charting in accordance with RCDSO and CDHO standards.
· Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments.
· Maintain strict adherence to IPAC protocols and contribute to the clinic’s infection control and sterilization routines.
· Use digital x-ray systems and dental software for treatment documentation.
· Collaborate with dentists and team members to ensure optimal patient care and clinical outcomes.
· Uphold WHMIS and OHSA safety procedures within the operatory and sterilization zones.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Active registration and in good standing with the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario (CDHO).
· At least 6 months of experience in a clinical setting (new grads welcome to apply).
· Excellent understanding of IPAC, WHMIS, RCDSO, and OHSA protocols.
· HARP certification.
· Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
· Strong communication and patient education skills.
· Positive attitude, collaborative approach, and commitment to continuous learning.
· Bilingual (English and Spanish) is an asset but not required.
