Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall patient experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, patient-focused environment with a focus on delivering exceptional dental services. Bilingual skills and experience with pediatric patients are highly valued.
Duties
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and treatment plans
- Assist in patient examinations by recording medical history and vital signs
- Support the dental team with procedures such as applying sealants or fluoride treatments
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management software
- Ensure a clean and sterile environment by following infection control protocols
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns in a professional manner
- Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure smooth clinic operations
Experience
- Previous experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a dental office setting is preferred
- Knowledge of Dentrix or other dental management software is advantageous
- Experience with orthodontics, pediatrics, or general dentistry is a plus
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Prior experience assisting in dental procedures or working in a fast-paced clinical environment is beneficial
