Job Summary
The Patient Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for patients within a healthcare setting. This position involves managing patient interactions, coordinating care, and maintaining accurate medical records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of medical terminology, particularly within a dental or medical office environment.

Duties

Greet patients upon arrival and assist with the check-in process.
Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) with accuracy and confidentiality.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans and follow-up care.
Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during their visit.
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the office environment.
Ensure compliance with all health regulations and office policies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a dental office or medical office setting is preferred.
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medical terminology to facilitate effective communication.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize with patients.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
