Job Summary:
Are you a Dental Administrator who is looking to join and contribute to a dynamic, positive, and progressive clinic where exceptional patient care and outstanding customer service are paramount? F/T position. Our office focuses on the whole patient, including airway, and excellence in dental care. Continuing education, along with desirable hours, wage, and benefit package. Previous dental office experience is required, and experience with Dentrix and RecallMax is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate who has initiative and excels in the skills of communication, organization, and patient relations.
As the first point of contact for our dental office, you will play a crucial role in the successful growth of our practice ensuring smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Coordinate the entry of new patients into the practice
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing and payment processing
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (Dentrix, RecallMax.)
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Treatment planning
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, chart audit, and scanning documents
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and comfortable for patients
- Provide support to dental staff as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus
- Proven experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant in a dental office setting
- Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes
- Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and phone systems
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently
